When finishing a horizontal blind, you can choose a ladder cord (standard) or a ladder tape. The pictures in this article clearly show the difference.
A ladder tape accentuates the places where the cords run through the blind, and provides a striking finish to the whole. It is usually chosen in a colour that matches the slats. Daring people, however, choose a contrasting colour. This can be combined with an accent colour that is present in the interior, for example a white venetian blind with a black ladder tape.
